Portugal has just won (= acabou de ganhar) 1-0 over Spain. It was a great match! I watched it from the first to the last minute and suffered (= sofri), as most Portuguese, I'm sure. The Portuguese team played very well, but so did the Spanish team. Congratulations to both teams on a fabulous game.

A very special "congratulations" to the Portuguese team, Luiz Felipe Scolari, its coach, and Nuno Gomes for scoring the goal! Yeeesss!

The party is now in the streets. Cars are everywhere honking their horns, and the people are shouting with joy (= alegria) and waving the Portuguese flag!

Good luck for the quarter finals, Portugal. Keep up the great work!!!
